What is the Coronary Surgery MIDCAB

MIDCAP or MICS CABG is known as minimally invasive coronary surgery, to treat reduced blood flow to the heart caused by blockage of the coronary arteries.

Description of the procedure

The intervention is performed without extracorporeal circulation in 100% of the patients (Off-Pump Surgery), where arterial grafts are used whenever possible, namely, left and right internal mammary artery, and radial artery when indicated, and extraction of venous conduits with techniques minimally invasive.

The duration of a MIDCABS coronary surgery is normally 100 minutes. Patients are discharged after 4 to 6 days.
Regarding work activity, after XX days the patient will be able to return to work. Normally, full mobility recovery is at the end of XX and moderate physical activity at XX.
