UmiCS – The Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit was established with the goal of providing the best medical treatments in Cardiothoracic Medicine. Innovation, study, research, and the integration of new technologies are part of the daily routine of the entire team.
Dr. Javier Gallego and Dr. Diego González Rivas, pioneers in the introduction of minimally invasive techniques, have been training dozens of surgeons from around the world through the UMICS ACADEMY since 2020. The training is delivered using a theoretical-practical methodology, including theoretical sessions, interactive workshops, live surgeries, and practical training sessions (cadaveric labs & live surgeries).
